Coach Carmichael switched up the team's system of play and adjusted the lineup to put players into different roles. The Crusaders entered Friday's match with a 2-7 record. "The possession play and combination play really opened the field to generate good shots on goal," Coach Carmichael said. "Right now we are trying to make sure we maintain composure and not rush things."

In the second half, the Bruins defense stood strong as the team only allowed 4 shots throughout the entire match. The team was able to limit the Crusaders chances and used smart decision-making to transition the ball to the offense. The Bruins continued to barrage the Crusaders with shots. "Right now we have to get some rest," Coach Carmichael said. "This is the part of the year that we need to get some recovery time. We need to work on some of our efficiency in play and get a little better but I think we are doing a great job and no complaints."

With the win, the Bruins improve to 9-3-2 on the season. Anna Daulton led the way with 3 goals (9 total for the season) while Lauren Foushee, Kaitlyn Hummel and Adi Blaj all recorded an assist. The Bruins outshot the Crusaders 12-4.
