Despite having a smaller roster for the Glock Shooting Sports Foundation (GSSF) match in Morganton, North Carolina, the Bruins made the most of it as the team had several great finishes including a 1st place finish in the team civilian shooting category.
"The glock matches are always a great experience for us," Shooting Sports Coach Mike Wilkie said. "It gives us an opportunity to compete against a very wide range of shooters. Because it is a smaller event, it gives us an chance to compete against each other as well as a good field of competition."
Ben Chisom, Nathaniel Haefka and John Ferguson captured a 1st place finish as the trio competed well throughout the course with a score of 233.58. Tyler Moritsch, Dan Seibert and Nathaniel Seibert captured 4th in the team category with a score of 296.24.
The team had several good individual performances as well as Ben Chisom finished 25th overall in the match with John Ferguson coming in 52nd in the civilian category. Next up, the Bruins shooting sports teams will compete in their final match of the season in Wilmore, Kentucky on Saturday.
