The Bruins shooting sports team was back in action on Saturday as the team competed in a Five Stand Match in Belton, South Carolina. This was just the second event in which the team would be shooting shotgun competition. The event timed shooters on speed and accuracy as participants shot at flying targets in each round.
Steven Cross led the way for the Bruins hitting 60% of the targets throughout the competition. Freshman Clayton Hock also had a strong day on the course hitting 56% of his targets while Logan Hilton and Ryan Wright each hit 52% of their attempts.
"I am proud of our team for continuing to work hard and improve at these events," Bruins Head Coach Dan Seibert said. "These events are new for us and our team is accepting the challenge to continue to grow and learn while also being a great representation for Christ."
Next up, the Bruins will compete in a Skeet Qualifier match on February 29 in Edgefield, South Carolina.
