COVID Protocols
The Bruins baseball team will be on the road this weekend for an NCCAA matchup as the team battles Toccoa Falls College in a three-game series. The Bruins will play one game on Friday afternoon before competing in a Saturday doubleheader in Toccoa Falls, Georgia.
The Bruins come into the game at 0-4 on the season and 0-2 in conference play after the team suffered back to back losses to Columbia International on Tuesday in a home doubleheader.
The Bruins showed dramatic improvement but the team came up short in 9-4 and 4-2 losses. Henry Wallach led the Bruins on the mound in game one pitching 5 and 2/3 innings while striking out six. In game two, Conley Burk pitched four innings of relief while also striking out six in the loss. Offensively, the Bruins were led by Zach Burk and Riley Ramsey throughout the day as the pair combined for five hits on the day.
Toccoa Falls comes into the weekend series at 4-9 overall after suffering a 13-4 loss to Truett-McConnell on Tuesday afternoon. Game one of the weekend series gets underway on Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. Toccoa Falls College has a no-fan policy due to COVID-19 protocols.
