The Bruins look to snap a five-game losing streak as the team heads to Columbia, South Carolina, on Tuesday for a doubleheader against Columbia International University. The Bruins enter the game following a tough weekend with three losses to Trinity Baptist College pushing their record to 4-21 on the season.
Columbia International comes into Tuesday's doubleheader at 22-22 overall having won five of their last six games. The Rams had their five-game winning streak snapped on Saturday as they fell to Bryan College 7-6 in Dayton, Tennessee.
The Bruins and Rams played earlier this season in Greenville with CIU winning 9-4 and 4-2 in the doubleheader at Conestee Park. The Bruins had jumped out to an early 4-1 lead in game one before a five-run sixth inning allowed the Rams to battle back and win 9-4. In game two, the Bruins rallied late but came up short in a 4-2 loss.
Tuesday's doubleheader will get underway at 1 p.m. in Columbia, South Carolina.
