The Bruins baseball team will be back in action this weekend as the team heads to Knoxville, Tennessee, for a three-game series against Johnson University (TN). The Bruins would scheduled to play on Monday but COVID positive cases on Brevard's roster postponed the game to April 19.
After a victory over Toccoa Falls College in walk-off fashion last Saturday, the Bruins enter this weekend series at 2-16 overall. Johnson comes into the game a 7-28 and currently riding a six-game losing streak.
These two teams met earlier this season with the teams splitting a Saturday doubleheader on March 20. The Royals took advantage of Bruins mistakes in game one to win 11-1, but the Bruins bounced back with a 5-3 win in game two to secure their first win in program history.
The weekend series will begin on Friday afternoon with a 4 p.m. game followed by a doubleheader on Saturday at 1 and 4 p.m. in Knoxville.
