The Bruins baseball team will head into the regional tournament next week as the team competes in the Non Dual Affiliated (NDA) Regional Tournament in Springdale, Arkansas. The Bruins earned the #7 seed where the team will #2 seeded Kansas Christian College in the opening round of the double-elimination tournament. Based on the results of that game, the Bruins will either advance in the winners bracket or play in the consolation bracket for the tournament (May 10-12).
The Bruins closed out the regular season strong as the team won two of their last three games on the road against Trinity Baptist College. The Bruins battled back wih a four-run 7th inning to win game one 7-3 on Friday before splitting the Saturday doubleheader with an 8-4 win and a 7-1 loss.
The Bruins will face #2 seeded Kansas Christian College in the opening game. The Falcons of KCC finished the season at 26-9 and closed the season strong winning eight of their final ten games.
First pitch for the tournament will get underway on Monday at 12:30 p.m. (EST).
