With just three matches remaining this regular season, the Bruins volleyball team looks to finish the season strong heading into the regional tournament as the program faces Paine College in a road matchup on Tuesday night.
The Bruins come into the match at 19-10 on the season having dropped five of their last six matches including falling in back to back losses to Bluefield College and Johnson University (TN) in a Saturday tri-match.
Still, the Bruins have continued to battle as the team bounced back last Thursday with a 3-1 win over Pfeiffer University. The Bruins will look to get back into the winning column on Tuesday as the team travels to Augusta, Georgia, where they will face the Paine College Lions.
The Lions enter Tuesday's matchup at 2-17 on the season, having dropped three of their last four matches including a 3-0 loss to Livingstone College on Saturday. This will be just the third time the Bruins and Lions have met in program history with the Bruins winning both previous matchups.
The Bruins and Lions met earlier this season in Greenville with the Bruins sweeping Paine 3-0. Emma Riddle led the Bruins in that matchup as the senior finished with 10 kills in the win.
Tuesday's match is set for 6 p.m. in Augusta, Georgia.
