Bruins baseball welcomes Covenant College to Conestee Park as the teams will play a three-game series. The Bruins were scheduled to play earlier this week against Truett-McConnell but the game was canceled due to weather. The Bruins enter the weekend at 1-10 on the season.
Last weekend, the Bruins picked up their first win of the season as Henry Wallach pitched a complete game to lead the Bruins to a 2-1 victory over Toccoa Falls on Friday night. Unfortunately, the Bruins couldn't get their bats going and committed costly errors as the team fell in back to back matchups on Saturday to close out the series.
Covenant College enters this weekend at 5-6 on the season. The Scots have dropped two of their last three games including splitting a doubleheader with Ferrum College on Saturday.
This will be the first-ever matchup between the Bruins and Scots with the two teams playing a doubleheader on Friday with the first game getting under way at 4 p.m. The teams will then wrap up the series on Saturday with a 12:30 p.m. start time at Conestee Park.
