The Bruins baseball team will be on the road this weekend in Winston-Salem, North Carolina as the team plays a three-game series against Carolina University.
The Bruins come into the series on the heels of two losses to St. Andrews University in a road doubleheader on Tuesday. With the losses, the Bruins fall to 2-13 on the season.
Carolina University enters their home weekend series at 10-10 on the season having dropped three of their last four games.
Earlier this season, the Bruins welcomed Carolina University Greenville where Carolina won three straight against the Bruins.
In game one of that series, the Bruins rallied with 7 runs in the bottom of the 9th inning but the deficit proved too much to overcome in a 15-11 loss. The Bruins then came up short in their Saturday doubleheader including falling in extra innings 10-7 in the series finale.
The series will get underway on Friday at 2 p.m. before the two teams will wrap up the series with a Saturday doubleheader. The next chapter of the battle of the Bruins is set to written this weekend at Mando Field at Rich Park in Mocksville, North Carolina.
