The beach volleyball team travels to the TMU Beach Complex in Cleveland, Georgia this weekend as they open their inaugural season. While in Georgia, the Bruins will face off against four teams across Friday and Saturday.
The inaugural beach volleyball game for the Bruins is set to be played at 10 a.m. on Friday against Spartanburg Methodist University. Spartanburg Methodist opened their season on Tuesday against St. Andrews University where they went 1-1 on the day.
The second dual on Friday will be played against Truett McConnell University at 1 p.m. The Bears, also in their inaugural beach season, come into this weekend 0-5 on the season.
It'll be an early start for the Bruins on Saturday as they play an 8:30 a.m. match against Erskine College. The Bruins played a preseason exhibition against the Fleet a couple weeks ago where they fell in all five matches. Erskine College enters this weekend 0-4 after beginning their season last weekend.
The final match of the weekend will come against Lincoln Memorial University at 11:30 a.m. LMU is 2-5 on the season after picking up wins against St. Andrews and LaGrange. This will be the first of four times the Bruins and Railsplitters meet this year.
All games will be played at the TMU Beach Complex on the campus of Truett McConnell University.
