It's a two-game Tuesday as the Bruins make their way to Georgia for a doubleheader against Truett McConnell University on Tuesday afternoon for their first of five games this week.
The Bruins enter this week's games 7-22 after taking two of their three weekend games against Mid-Atlantic Christian University. Friday's game went into extra innings, and the Bruins went into overdrive scoring five runs in the top of the 10th inning to pull out the 17-12 win.
Working off of momentum from the night before, the Bruins came away with a 9-5 win in game one as Joshua Legnard pitched the complete game. The Bruins saw themselves down early in game two, but in the final inning, Bob Jones would rally to score 11 runs, but were unable to hold off the Mustangs in the bottom of the seventh and ultimately fell 18-17 in their second game of the day.
Truett McConnell is 21-17 overall and comes into Tuesday's games on the heels of a weekend sweep over Johnson University (TN). This will be the third time the Bruins and Bears have met with Bob Jones falling twice in 2021.
Game one is set to start at 3 p.m. at the TMU Baseball Complex in Cleveland, Georgia with game two to follow.
