After falling to Brevard College in Greenville, South Carolina on Tuesday night, the Bruins make the trip up to Gil Coan Park to face the Tornados once again.
Tuesday's game was the first meeting between the two schools as Bob Jones fell 15-7. Looking ahead to Thursday's game, Head Coach Brent Casteel continues to work with his team on making runs happen. He said, "we just need to keep working on getting the runners pushed around the base path. We left a lot of runners on base, and we're doing that quite often. We've been working on a lot of things to make runs happen, and we need to learn to finish. Once we accomplish that, it's going to push us along."
Bob Jones enters Thursday's game 7-28 on the season while their opponent boasts a 20-15 record. With their last win coming against Mid-Atlantic Christian University on April 16, the Bruins look to break their seven game losing streak.
As the team makes the trip up to North Carolina, Bruins Assistant Coach Kyle Morrison will be back on the field he used to play for. Coach Morrison graduated in 2017 from Brevard College where played four years with the Tornados appearing in over 100 career games.
The Bruins are looking for a strong showing as they begin to wind down the regular season. Thursday afternoon's game is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. from Gil Coan Park in Brevard, North Carolina.
