The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) named Henry Wallach and Joshua Legnard from the Bruins baseball team as Scholar-Athletes for the 2023 season. The recognition is given to student-athletes who maintain at least a 3.40 cumulative GPA and are a junior, senior or graduate student.
Senior Business Administration major Henry Wallach earned a spot on the Scholar-Athlete team for the second time in his Bruins career while Joshua Legnard, a Sport Management major, came away with the recognition for the first time.
The baseball team ended their season at the NCCAA South Region tournament in Jacksonville, Florida after falling in games to #3 Carolina University and #5 Trinity Baptist College.
BJU is a provisional member of NCAA DIII and a NCCAA member. The Bruins feature 15 varsity programs and over 200 student-athletes.
