As the regular season comes to a close, the Bruins baseball team has only a few games left. On Tuesday, April 23, the team will be hosting Brevard College out at Conestee Park. Game time between the Bruins and Tornados is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. and can be watched live here.

Earlier this season, the two programs were scheduled to play at Brevard's homefield, but was canceled due to rainy conditions. Beyond that, the two programs have played one another three times with Brevard leading the series 2-1 and the Bruins winning the most recent contest. Their last contest was played during last season's schedule where the Bruins hosted and won 10-6 in a nine-inning game. In that game, the Bruins produced 10 hits while also drawing an additional nine walks.

Brevard College sits at 16-15 with an additional game from the weekend to be played still before traveling to Greenville. The Tornados are a NCAA DIII school and compete in the USA South Athletic Conference. This past Saturday, they hosted conference opponent William Peace University for a doubleheader and had their senior night. During the doubleheader, Brevard lost both games by the scores of 9-6 and 10-4. They'll have a chance to get a game back during their rescheduled contest with the Pacers.

The Bruins return home this week for their final home game action before heading to the postseason. Over the weekend, the Bruins traveled to Jacksonville, Florida for a series against Trinity Baptist College. While in Florida, the Bruins won two of the three games and narrowly missed out on a sweep of the Eagles. In Friday's contest, the Bruins pitched a complete game with Henry Wallach and won 7-6. Heading into Saturday, the team was ready for more and wouldn't let the hot weather bother them as they picked up a 5-4 win in the first game of the doubleheader. In the second game, they had a 8-2 lead after five innings, but a rally by the Eagles couldn't be overcome and the Bruins lost 9-8.

The Bruins and Tornados are scheduled to play at Conestee Park in Greenville, South Carolina this Tuesday. The first pitch is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. and can be watched on our live stream here.
