Ramsey and Legnard Earn All-American Recognition

For the first time in program history, the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) has named two Bob Jones University Bruins baseball players to the All-American teams. Senior Riley Ramsey was named 2nd Team All-American and senior Joshua Legnard was named 3rd Team All-American following their 2024 season.

"I am proud of both of them," said Head Coach Brent Casteel. "We have enjoyed having Riley and Josh in our program, and they have both played major roles in their time with us. They deserve this recognition."

Senior Riley Ramsey was instrumental in the Bruins success this season. The 2nd Team All-American led the team with a .459 batting average recording 33 runs, 27 RBI and 61 hits. His season high came on April 27 against Mid-Atlantic Christian University where he finished with four hits, two home runs, a triple and four runs scored.

Pitcher Joshua Legnard returned to the team this season after an injury and played a vital role on the mound for the Bruins as he earned 3rd Team All-American honors this year. He pitched 71 innings and led the Bruins pitching staff with 81 strikeouts. He also pitched four complete games including a shutout on March 16 against Covenant College.

The Bruins finished their best season in program history with a 13-24 record. Their season wrapped up on May 10 after a loss to Toccoa Falls College in game 12 of the NCCAA South Region Tournament.
