The Bob Jones University volleyball team is back at home ready to host a two-day volleyball tournament at the Davis Field House this Friday and Saturday. The Bruins enter the weekend 4-6 on the year after falling in a hard-fought game at Brevard College on Tuesday.

BJU opens the tournament on Friday with a 3 p.m. contest against Clinton College. The Golden Bears make their way from Rock Hill, South Carolina with a 5-2 season record. The two programs met twice last season with Bob Jones sweeping both matches.

After a brief break, the Bruins will be back on the court on Friday at 7 p.m. for a rematch against Brevard College. The Tornados improved to a 4-2 record after beating the Bruins on Tuesday in a five-set contest. Through eight meetings over the course of the last six years, the Bruins hold the 7-1 series record.

On Saturday, the Bruins will play back-to-back games against Boyce College and Regent University. The Boyce College Bulldogs enter the weekend 4-5 after back-to-back losses. BJU faced the Bulldogs for the second time last season at the BJU Invitational Tournament where Bob Jones finished ahead 3-1 to lead 2-0 in the series. Following the Boyce match, the Bruins will take on Regent University. Regent looks to improve on their 1-4 season record as they face Bob Jones for the sixth time in program history. The Bruins have swept three of the last five contests holding the 5-0 series record against the Royals.

The BJU Invitational Tournament kicks off from the Davis Field House at 3 p.m. on Friday before a 10 a.m. start on Saturday. The doors for the DFH will open one hour before the first game of the day and admission is free for all attendees.
