Two Volleyball Players Recognized as NCCAA Scholar-Athletes

The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) released the list of the 2025 women's volleyball Scholar-Athletes. The recognition is given to student-athletes who maintain at least a 3.40 GPA and are a junior, senior or graduate student. On the list were seniors Anne Lloyd and Bethany Estell.

Senior Interdisciplinary Studies major Anne Lloyd and Nursing student-athlete Bethany Estell were each awarded this academic recognition. This is the second time both of them been named NCCAA Scholar-Athletes.

This season, the Bruins have seen 19 NCCAA Scholar-Athletes across four fall programs.

"We are so proud of Bethany and Anne for receiving this honor," said Coach Christa Schlichting. "This recognition from the NCCAA is truly a testament to the hard work of our student-athletes on and off the court."

These athletes and the rest of the women's volleyball team are looking to earn their seventh national championship title in Joplin, Missouri. Competition kicks off on Thursday as the #4 Bruins take on #5 Faith Baptist Bible College at 10:30 a.m.

BJU is NCCAA DII member featuring 13 varsity programs and over 200 student-athletes.
