The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) has named Bob Jones University Bruins women's soccer forward Francesca Aurednik as the Division II National Player of the Year for the 2025 season.
Francesca Aurednik has had quite the senior season. This year, Aurednik totaled 14 goals through 21 games played and over 1,200 minutes on the field putting her among the top in the nation in goals and shots on goals. She completed her collegiate career as the 2025Â NCCAA DII Player of the Year, NCCAA DII South Region Player of the Year, NCCAA DII Tournament Most Outstanding Player and winner of the Select Golden Ball award.
"After losing our top two goal scorers last year, Francesca had to adapt to the defensive pressure she was going to experience this year," said Head Coach Chris Carmichael. "You could see her confidence get stronger throughout the season, and she began seeing the field and spaces better to attack into. She finished the last half of the season on fire netting the 2025 NCCAA DII South Region Player of the Year, 2025 National Championship All-Tournament Team, Golden Boot Award, and Tournament MVP, NCCAA DII first team All-American and finally the 2025 NCCAA DII Player of the Year. Along with her third NCCAA DII National Championship I can't think of a more successful way finish to her collegiate soccer career. She will be sorely missed, but we are incredibly thankful for the positive impact she made in our program. She has left some huge shoes to fill!"
Following the team winning the 2025 NCCAA South Region Championship, the Bruins traveled to Kissimmee, Florida to compete at nationals. The Bruins entered the tournament as the top seed and opened the tournament in pool play against a Grace Christian University and Trinity College of Jacksonville. The Bruins shutout both the Tigers and Eagles to advance to the national championship game. On November 21, the Bruins faced off against Southwestern Adventist University. Aurednik scored the second goal in the contest as the Bruins came out victorious 2-0 capturing the 2025 NCCAA National Championship title.Â
