#1 Bruins vs #3 Toccoa Falls College

The regular season is over and the postseason is here for the Bob Jones University women's soccer team. The team has earned a spot in the region championship game as they look to secure their third straight south region championship title.

The Bruins earned the #1 seed for the NCCAA South Region tournament hosted by Toccoa Falls College after wrapping up the regular season with a 5-7-5 record. Trinity College of Jacksonville was seeded second with Toccoa Falls College earning the three seed for the region tournament. 

Thursday evening, it was a battle between the #2 and #3 programs for a spot in the region championship game on Saturday. The score between the Eagles and Screaming Eagles was tied 2-2 after regulation and two 10 minute extra time frames. The winner of the semifinal game was decided with penalty kicks with host program Toccoa Falls College upsetting #2 Trinity College of Jacksonville. 

With Saturday's championship field set, the Bruins will take on Toccoa Falls College for the third time this season. 

On September 23, the Bruins hosted the Screaming Eagles at Alumni Stadium where the Bruins took a 7-1 win over their region opponents. Last week, the two teams faced off in Toccoa Falls, Georgia to wrap up the regular season where BJU recorded four goals to earn the shutout victory. 

Riding momentum from Thursday's victory, the Screaming Eagles look to shake things up as they take on the Bruins in the South Region Championship match on Saturday in Toccoa Falls, Georgia. 

Kickoff for Saturday's title game is set for 12 p.m.
