The Bob Jones University baseball team is on the road for a weekend trip to Augusta, Georgia. The team is set to face off against the Paine College Lions in a nine inning contest on Friday before a doubleheader to close out the weekend. 

The Bruins look to break out of a nine game losing slide as they sit at 2-11 on the season. On Tuesday, the Bruins fell in a 11-2 decision against Brevard College. 

Paine College enters the weekend 5-2 on the season. The last games for the Lions were back on February 22-23 against Florida National where they swept the series. 

Since 2022, the Bruins and Lions have met eight times with the two teams splitting the all time series with four wins apiece. In their last series in April 2024, the Bruins fell after 10 innings to the Lions in a 12-10 result. They then came back to win in a 6-1 victory before falling in the final game of the series. 

The weekend gets started with a noon game on Friday before a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 12 p.m. in Augusta, Georgia.
