The Bruins get to take a trip to Laurel, Mississippi to take on the Southeastern Baptist College Chargers in a weekend series. They'll start on Friday with a single nine-inning game before a doubleheader on Saturday.

The Bruins and Chargers have only seen each other two times ever on the baseball diamond. In 2021, the Bruins came away with a victory in the NCCAA South Region Tournament where Conley Burk scored two of the Bruins runs in a tight 6-5 game. Almost exactly a year later in 2022, the Chargers got avenged their loss the previous season and eliminated the Bruins from the tournament with a 9-7 win. 

Coming off a few losses to Alice Lloyd College and a close loss to Montreat College, the Bruins are hungry to get back on track with some wins. They have three big opportunities this weekend.

First pitch on Friday is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
