After racing to qualifying times earlier in the season, a group of Bruins track and field athletes were able to travel down to Georgia Tech and compete at a highly competitive NCAA DI meet.
"They all ran really well and it was something they be proud of," Head Coach Ken Roach said. "It was nice for us to be surrounded by that environment racing against some bigger teams."
Misha Gray and Leo Mota were the only two athletes to compete for the Bruins on Friday, and they both competed in the 100 meter dash. Against all odds, they crossed the finish line with the exact same time of 11.27 seconds.
On Saturday, four Bruins competed in four different events; all of them put up very good times. Misha Gray was back on the track to begin the day for the Bruins in the 400 meter hurdles. Will Stark continued his special season with another personal best in the 400 meter dash. He is now second in the NCCAA this season with his performance. Emily Walton and Joel Batres-Mena closed the meet for the Bruins in their respective 800 meter race.
- Men's 400 Meter Hurdles: Misha Gray - 56.12 seconds
- Men's 400 Meter Dash: Will Stark - 48.38 seconds
- Women's 800 Meter Race: Emily Walton - 2:30
- Men's 800 Meter Race: Joel Batres-Mena - 1:59
