After his personal best performance in the Georgia Tech Invite, Will Stark has been named the NCCAA Men's Outdoor Track Student-Athlete of the Week.

This past weekend, Stark and a few teammates went down to compete at the biggest NCAA DI meet in the southeast, and he raced to the standards. Stark competed in his main event, the 400 meter dash, and set another personal best time of 48.38 seconds. That time was good enough for him to come in 23rd place out of over 65 division one sprinters.

Will Stark is the second athlete in program history to receive this recognition, and is also now the the two-seeded sprinter in the 400 meter dash with the NCCAA national championships coming soon. 

The only other track and field athlete to be named the Student-Athlete of the Week was Brian Sims in 2023, and he ended up winning the national championship in the 400 meter dash that season.

Stark, who is already an indoor track All-American, looks to make more history as the season goes on.
